Emergency Overnight Shelter Now Open

The Salvation Army, in partnership with nine local organizations and churches, has officially opened an Emergency Overnight Shelter for the 2025-2026 winter season.
Shelter Details
- Location: The Salvation Army, 2 Unicorn Street, Newburyport
- Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM nightly
- Season: December through March
Services Provided
Guests will receive:
- A warm, safe place to sleep
- Dinner and breakfast
- Access to restroom facilities
- Referrals to social services
How to Help
Community members can support the shelter by:
- Volunteering as overnight monitors
- Donating warm clothing, blankets, and toiletries
- Making financial contributions to The Salvation Army
